Born and raised in Folsom, CA, Matthew has always had a strong and loving relationship with his parents, Arthur and Rosalyn, as well as his 3 older siblings.  He knew he wanted to be a physical therapist since the age of 13 when his 7th grade teacher asked each student to share with the class what they wanted to be when they grew up.  “I want to help people by becoming a physical therapist,” he said.

At age 26 that dream was realized after graduating as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Fresno State University in 2016.While in PT school, Matthew had 30 total weeks of full-time internship experience in the cities of Sacramento, San Diego, and Fresno.  He spent 21 weeks as a student intern with hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings including Kaiser Permanente and Sharp Rees-Stealy.  He did his last full-time clinical rotation at an inpatient neurological rehab center at a Fresno community hospital for 9 weeks.

As a recent graduate, Matthew is eager to expand upon his current knowledge base through his many clinical experiences, learning from his mentors, and participating in continuing education courses.  He is working towards becoming a certified orthopaedic manual therapist (COMT) through Maitland-Australian Phyiotherapy Seminars, which has been a leading provider of manual therapy education for physical therapists internationally since 1985.
